There are a great many reasons to join a golf club – the fitness benefits, the fun of competition and meeting new people.
However not all golf clubs are the same. Here are ten reasons (we could have listed more) why you should join St Neots.
Friendly atmosphere. It is easy to say but St Neots prides itself on welcoming players of all levels of golfing ability from scratch players to beginners. All ages are welcome from Juniors to Seniors. And there is currently no joining fee.
A dynamic calendar. There are plenty of competitions and social events happening at the club so there is always a chance to get more involved. Of course, if you just fancy playing a game there is plenty of opportunity.
Free reciprocal golf. While we are proud of our course, it is great to be able to test your skills on a new or different course. We have free reciprocal golf at 21 courses and hugely discounted green fees at 14 other courses across the country with the majority an easy drive away.
Discounted bar and catering. All members benefit from a 15 per cent discount on all purchases from the bar and restaurant.
Fantastic practice facilities. St Neots has amenities to help you improve every element of your game - a driving range with free practice balls, a separate short game area to perfect those vital pitches and chips, an undulating putting green, a practice net for that last-minute loosening up and an indoor swing studio.
A beautiful setting. St Neots Golf Course is situated between the River Great Ouse and River Kym, and manages to combine a course that is friendly to beginners while challenging for the better players which is why it hosted the 2015 Men’s County Championship and 2016 Ladies’ County Championship.
A special piece of history. St Neots is the oldest course in Cambridgeshire designed by seven-time major winner Harry Vardon.
PGA professional coaching. The club is the home of St Neots Golf Academy, including the indoor swing studio and a fully-stocked professional shop
St Neots is a Member-owned club. Many clubs are owned by businesses with the first priority being to make money for owners or shareholders. At St Neots all our profits are reinvested in the Club.
